プロフィール	渓流に生きる昆虫類の行動と形態等の研究を続け、大学非常勤講師、助手等を経て、平成16年度より本学着任。講義の傍ら、自然と暮らしをテーマに「自然通信」発行、資料展示、狛犬研究を実施中。
メッセージ	私たち人間も地球上に生きる多様な生き物の中の一つです。生き物の形や色の多様さをみると驚きますが、生き物の形には、その生き物の生き方や、歴史が表れています。特に水の中に生きる昆虫類は翅をもつ昆虫の起源にも関わってくるもので、環境と生き物の関係は奥深いです。最近は、狛犬を通して石造物への関心を深めています。
